Sacred Heart Catholic School is situated 3km outside the township of Geeveston and 2km from Port Huon at the edge of a beautiful native forest valley. The nearby Hartz Mountains provide a view which is enjoyed by all.

The school is situated on ten acres of beautiful bushland and has the benefit of various landscaped gardens filled with a variety of plants. All learning spaces have been refurbished under the Federal Government’s BER Program with every space having a range of digital resources. The school is fortunate to have a cross country course,  mountain bike track and adventure playground on the property.

Positioned close to Port Huon, the school enjoys all the facilities of the Port Huon Sports Centre which includes a 25m indoor swimming pool, a multi-purpose indoor court (basketball, badminton, netball), squash courts and an aerobics room.

We offer many opportunities for families to work in partnership with the School which strengthens communication and promotes a real sense of community throughout the School community. Parents and guardians are welcome to assist with classroom learning and the myriad of activities that take place in and around the school. There are also more formal opportunities to be involved in the life of the school through the School Board or the Parents and Friends Association. We are very fortunate to have so many families so actively involved at our school. 

At Sacred Heart we are deeply committed to support our local and wider communities. We are grateful to our School community who continue to show their generosity through a number of fundraising ventures supported annually by the School. These provide a great opportunity for students to see the difference they can make to the lives of others. We are able to see the qualities of love, compassion, generosity and understanding that our so dear to the Sisters of St Joseph present in our students.
