Tim wins major bike-a-thon prize

Congratulations to Tim Mitchell (Gr 1) who won the major prize in the bike-a-thon draw. The school community has raised over $4,500 for the Phon Family in Cambodia to assist them in setting up a family farm and educating their children.  The Phon family currently has 30 members (3 generations) and survives of 50c a day.  The students in the school received a ticket for every $10 they raised in the bike-a-thon. The major prize was donated by Cyclingo in South Hobart – $300 gift voucher. Tim was drawn ‘out of the hat’ at our assembly last Friday, which was great because Tim raised $177. Pictured below is Tim on his new bike. Thank you to all the students and their families for supporting such a worthy cause and for making a real difference for the Phon family for generations to come.  Another great example of our Josephite Spirit – “Never see a need without doing something about it’.
